Verbal promises simply do not cut it. Written documents have more authority in court than verbal promises. Since there are 50 states and a few other administrative units in the United States of America; each one with its own laws, rules and regulations; and this also goes to nearly 200 other countries; all I can tell you is get a copy of the written policies.
