Usually they kick you out of the college for that low of a grade. Expect a letter.

For colleges and universities that grade on a 4.0 scale with 4.0 being the highest, a grade point average of 0.8 would be a letter grade of F (failure).
It is possible to get into college with a D letter grade, however, you may have to take remedial classes that won't count towards college credit. Local colleges will probably offer more leeway.
