All vauxhalls now recommended to change cambelt at 40,000 miles. The water pump should be checked for roughness and excessive bearing play.If it is ok then it can be reused.Overtight cambelts are probably the biggest cause of water pump problems. Some garages,to ensure no short term problems after a belt change, routinely replace the belt tensioner pulley(s) as well. *I have recently found that some 1.6 engines can go to 8years or 80,000 miles, this is listed as a service item for Zafira 1.6.Vectra 1.6 may be different. Vauxhall may have revised this anyway, best to call your dealer for latest thinking.
It must have a timing CHAIN , the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc . ) does not list a timing belt
It is recommended that you replace the timing Chang, on your Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, at 60,000 miles. Many times the warranty is voided if the timing chain is not changed.
The timing chain has no set date or mileage for replacment. It will normally last the life of the engine.
I contacted the Chevy Dealer and he informed me that the Chevy astro van has a timing "chain", not a timing belt and requires no maintanence action for this item.
100,000 Miles.
65000 miles
The timing belt should be changed every 90,000 miles.
No, the timing chain should last the life of the engine. No maintenance is required.
I believe the 2.3 L - DOHC engine in the 2004 Ford Ranger has a timing CHAIN instead of a timing belt , the 3.0 L and 4.0 L use timing chains
Never. This is not an item you replace at a scheduled time or mileage. It should last the life of the engine.
The 4.0 L - SOHC - V6 Ford engine has 3 timing CHAINS
I was told by a dealership that the 3.5l 5 cyl in my 2004 GMC Canyon has a timing chain and does not need to be changed.
