At this time I don't believe there are any countries that actively support atheist as a predominant 'faith'. However, the United States of America has no official religion.
Answer:
The governments of many countries are secular and religion has no official role in their government although their may be references to oaths and God in their constitutions and rituals, these would include China, Russia, America, Canada, etc. Secular should not be confused with atheist. In contrast some countries are openly theocratic where religion is blended with the government such as the Vatican, many Arabian countries and so on. Theocracies are not atheist. Some are a mixture where, like Great Britain, the head of state is also the head of the government but the day to day rule is mostly secular. Others like China have encouraged their citizens to nort go to church and still others (North Korea) have substituted a state sponsored way of life (Juche) as a substitute for religion.
However as no country has bothered to make it part of their constitution or founding principles that there is no deity (a requirement for atheism) so there are no atheist countries.
The populations of the world's countries are mixed as far as the religious positions of their citizens ranging from several European countries like Sweden which have a high percentage of atheists to the Vatican which is almost all Christian.
Atheism is everywhere in modern society. There is no country in the world where atheists can not be found. In some European countries it is reported that more than half the population hold no religious beliefs. Atheism is less common in poor, emerging nations where some still hold on to ancient traditional beliefs, while others follow Christian missionaries who assert that atheism is not an option in a civilised country.
It really depends on what you mean by faith. In any context however, I wouldn't hold Christ in any kind of faith or follow his directions in a way to live my life. The meaning of atheism is to have no religious faith whatsoever, and whether a person is human or not has no bearing on that.
There are no atheist founders. Atheist is simply a term to describe people who do not hold a belief in God.
The category would be called religion or creed.
Not likely. Atheism seems to require a certain personality type and is not totally controlled by how easy a life one is living. Much the same could be said for the religious attitude. Of course it's the aspiration of all people who feel strongly about something that when conditions are right, everybody will think just as they do.
In Christianity, these beliefs are called heresies, and those who hold them are called heretics. They are not pagans - pagans are not Christians at all - but Christians who have "gone off the rails" on an essential belief.

Synagogue.
Many people in the death camps did not keep their faith. Of those that, did each had an individual story of what served to hold them to their faith.
In my life? There is no effect, as I do not hold any religious faith and do not pray. I have faith in the laws of nature.
Atheism, as a belief system, does not inherently dictate a specific system of government. Atheism is the lack of belief in a deity, and individuals who identify as atheists can hold a variety of political beliefs and support different systems of government, including democratic, socialist, or authoritarian systems. Atheism itself is primarily concerned with questions of religion and does not necessarily define one's views on governance.
