Cool the heater hose and then gently take it off
Answerp0137 or p0147 if it's the heater circuit.
In most Chevys you need to remove the dashboard to get to the heater core, a 4 1/2 hour job.
Just unhook the hoses from the heater core and put a tube are something in the middle of them and clamp them together.
Under dash, near firewall, passenger side.

Possible leak in gas line. Must be some sort of air leak in the heater box under the hood. Heater is pulling fumes into car through the leak in it.
That hose goes to your heater core, follow the hose to passenger side of the firewall.
if the motor size is the same then yes but there is a heater tube in the driverside header that will either need to be added to the header or deleted from the truck.
take out the heater core then put the new one the same way you took out the old one.... Good Luck!
