10w30 or 10w40
On my 1998 Ford Expedition XLT. I put 10w30 or 10w40 Castro's Motor Oil. I have over 150,000 miles on my truck and it's running like a champ. My brother has a 2000 Ford Expedition EB with over 250,000 miles on it and he uses the same oil and it's running like a champ. He also tows alot.
Consult your owners manual to be sure, but my mechanic put 10W40 in my 1999 Kawasaki Prairie 400. His advice was to use 10W30 in the winter if I'd like it to start a little easier.
10W30
5w30 or 10w30
5w30 or 10w30
Gas 10w30 Diesel 15w40
AnswerI use the recommended 10W40, however; my Jeep doesn't burn oil. If you burn a lot of oil I recommend synthetic 10W30.
10w30 is what I would recommend for a 8 year old engine.
You can use synthetic, conventional, or a blend in the engine. The weight called for is 10W30.
the Curb weight on the Ford Expedition is from 4805 lbs-5350 lbs
It all depends on if you have a 220 bayou and it takes 2 quarts of oil 10w30 or now they have changed to a 10w40 oil.Just as long as you us a good qaulity oil you should be fine.
