Most of them do, I think. Hinduism has three gods who are sort of at the top of its hierarchy - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - but they are not like Christianity's Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The Trinitarian doctrine is pretty much reserved for orthodox Christianity.

Another Answer:

The above statement is inaccurate. True Hinduism is based in a Trinity that backdates christian trinity (although they do not call it father, son and holy spirit - the concept is the same - re a physical, aatma and param-aatma concept). Also, Hinduism does not really have 3 top gods - but only 1 God... the 3 are just 'concepts'/'manifestations' - hard to express in English because there are no real words in this language for the concept that is alien to this language :) - and hence always misunderstood as 3 gods and also as 'Indians have many gods and thus a pagan system' incorrectly unfortunately. One can almost wonder if you study the vedas and older scripts far enough, whether the trinity concept is taken from the older scriptures and if the dead sea scrolls were really read and released for public consumption - the reality would be that information has merely travelled across continents and ultimately branched from the same true books - but then that would bring many empires down wouldn't it?! :)

Another View:

Indeed, the 'Mysteries' religion had similarities and did branch out throughout the world after the Tower of Babel. In ancient cave-temples in India you find "Eko Deva Trimurtti" or "One God, three forms." And in Japan, Buddhists worship their great divinity, Buddha, with three heads, in the very same form, under the name of "San Pao Fuh." Assyria, Chaldean, Persian, Egyptian, and Roman beliefs followed and have existed since ancient times with recognition of a Trinity and was universal in all the ancient nations of the world proving how deep rooted this pagan primeval doctrine in the human race truly is. But should one be so surprised knowing the god of this world and how he deceives the whole world.

But to the original question: YES, there are non-trinitarian Christians and Messianic Jews for that matter. I believe Sir Isaac newton was one as I am. The Romish influence upon Christianity has obscured the truth of John 1:1-3 which clearly shows 2 personages from the beginning and interprets Genesis 1:2 'Elohim' the majestic plural used for God there. This is not limited to the 3 persons of a supposed trinity but other Scripture will reveal God's Plan for mankind to become full members of the God (surname) Family - 10's of billions of sons and daughters of God.

A good rule of thumb is to allow The Bible to interpret itself and not any man.

Answer:

Judaism and Islam reject the doctrine of the trinity.

What is the Roman Catholic's higher God?

There is only one "higher god" in Roman Catholicism and that is God, though through his Son, Jesus Christ. The Holy Trinity erroneously combines the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit into a single 'deity', mainly to affirm Jesus as the Son of God and to "name" the mechanism in which God communicates with those 'in His image'. Of course, for Jews and Muslims, the elevation of Jesus from a great prophet or messenger of the One-True-God to the actual Son of God (caused by the mistranslation of John 3:16 from Greek to Latin in which 'a son of God' became 'begotten son of God') is an abomination and an unforgivable slight against God. Both religions, however, consider Jesus a very important messenger and prophet, just not the Son of God. So the correct answer to the question is "the One-True-God is the figurehead for most of the world's monotheistic religions."

What type of faith are Islam Judaism and Christianity?

The three religions should have the same faith based on monotheism; that is full submission (Islam in Arabic) to God the one and only one God with no partner, no companion, no son, no associate, and no resemblance. The belief of some Christians that Jesus is God or son of God is not from the original Christianity and never Jesus called for worshiping him as God or son of God.

Is the Father the son and the holly ghost the now the future and the past?

No. In the majority of Christian religions, God is the Father, the Son is Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost is the Spirit. As part of the tripartite God, they are not timebound at all.
