According to research, athletes need to have different types of nutrients in their body. So it is important they consume different food types and not limit it. It is essential for them to have foods which have enough carbohydrates, proteins, and iron. Food such as Whole Grain helps in energy as the athletes are exposed to workouts. Peanut butter is another such food which needs to be included in the diet. This food contains lots of fat. It is also a great source of protein. This will help them in leaner and stronger muscles. Apart from these, two other foods which athletes should not miss are fruits and lots of vegetable intake because these are the two which have lots of minerals and and nutrients which are rare to be fund in other foods. They also help the body to function well.
