I read .30 somewhere else on the internet..but no further proof for me yet..still looking myself to make sure.
Based on everything I have read from Brigs and Stratton, and talking with some small engine repair guys I know, the 342cc engine puts out about 11-12hp, and the 420cc engine is about 15hp. Hope this helps.
To read the oil dipstick in the 1997 Ford F150, remove the dipstick from the oil reservoir. Wipe the dipstick clean and then place it back into the reservoir. Then, remove the dipstick again and look for the height of the oil on the stick. It should be in the "Full" range.
The dipstick on a Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle is read by noting the position of the oil in relation to the markings. The oil should be between the full and add marks.
The fluid should be at the top of the cross hash marks.
I was told that the oil is electronically read. no dipstick.
The oil dipstick is built into the oil filler cap. Unscrew the cap, pull the dipstick out, wipe it dry and reinsert it. Remove it again to read the oil level.
there is no dipstick! it is a sealed unit and has to be put on a lift to have it checked!
keep the car running pull out the dipstick and see if it slow it should be pink in color
Remove the transmission dipstick and read it, it will tell what is the correct fluid to use.
Depends on the engine. Generally between a pint and a quart. A Briggs and Straton 8hp takes about 24oz. Kohler or TecumsehPower should be close to that as well. If you are changing the oil and the engine has a dipstick, I would put in a pint (16oz) and then check the stick. If it is still low, I would add about 2oz at a time and check again until it does read full. If it is older and does not have a dipstick, just fill it until the oil comes right to the mouth of the fill opening.
you have to look for the line near the bottom of the dipstick and if the oil is up to the line that means it is full enough.
