around 5 and 6 x 1000 rpms
no, the shifting in the automatic works off of RPM's, it will accelerate as long as you have your foot on the pedal. the harder you push, it will down shift and go faster
You either need a new transmission or get it rebuild..
IS IT A MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC? THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AUTOMATIC SHOULD BE AROUND 650 WHILE MANUALS ARE LOWER.
around 3000 rmps
i get about 2750 rpm at 100 km/h, 3000 rpm at 120 km/h. I was wondering the same cause I have the same car as you except its lx. I was looking if there is overdrive but couldn't find it. These cars only came with a 4 speed automatic transmission, all gears seem to shift for me and that's the rpm I get. If you get any different let me know.
I have a 97 accord, Mine runs normally at 2000RPM's. At 70 MPH it goes up alittle above the "2" on your tachometer. Hope this helps you.
whaat? well if its automatic, then just put it in d or d4 and it will be automatic. Since it is an old car you don't want to have the engine go at high rpm's usually above 3500. So on the highway keep it at the lowest gear, 5th for a stick. and shift the gear when you hit 3000 rpm's.
With electronic fuel injection the motor produces 110 horsepower @ 5500 RPM's and 114 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4500 RPM's. The two barrel carb version of the motor (I believe this is only the Japanese models) produces 98 horsepower @ 5500 RPM's and 109 ft. lbs. of torque @ 3500 RPM's. I have found as an owner of a '87 Accord lX, that the US model "DX" was rebadged as a "LX" in Canada and both models are a Carb version pushing out a scant 98 horsepower @ 5500 RPM's and 109 ft. lbs. of torque @ 3500 RPM's. as the fellow above said. Also said the EFI Accord "LXi" is putting out a slightly better 110 horsepower @ 5500 RPM's and 114 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4500 RPM's, as the fellow above said again, in both Canadian and US markets.
The 2008 Honda Accord's engine produces 177 hp @ 6500 rpm.
The 2002 Honda Accord's engine produces 135 hp @ 5400 rpm.
The 2003 Honda Accord's engine produces 160 hp @ 5500 rpm.
The 2006 Honda Accord's engine produces 166 hp @ 5800 rpm.
