A few auto dealerships are putting their own drain plug in cars so that people HAVE to take them to the dealer and pay high prices for service. If you think that's what happened to you, take your car to an oil change shop. If they think it's one of those rip-off oil plugs, have them change it. Otherwise, it's probably just a torx or Allen head bolt and you'll just have to get a set to find the right size.

the key that you need for your megane 1997 sump is a 8mm square head!i know this because i have just changed my oil.

its also the same size for the gearbox oil
