Check your battery and alternator.
sound like a 1983 720 which is a 4 cyl and has 8 spark plugs the firing order is 1342.
The spark plug closest to the alternator belt is #1. Firing order should be 1-3-4-2.
It is screewed into the cylinder head on the drivers side all the way up front between the first 2 spark plugs.
The spark plug firing order is 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : firewall 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 front
A diesel engine doesn't have spark plugs or spark plug wires.
If the car has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine the spark plug gap is 0.060". If the car has the 2.8L V6 the spark plug gap is 0.045"
