typically you will hear a squeaking noise more noticable with the window down and passing parked cars, yes I know its winter ! The way to tell this from other squeaks like brake pads is that the squeak frequency will speed up rapidly with small increases in speed, remember that the driveshaft rotates 3.5 - 4 times faster than the wheels. You might see some reddish dust near the u-joint. I replaced mine 2005 Renegade V-6 with 6 speed at about 95k. Front joint was essentially fused, this shaft has 2 different sized joints front and back. You can also get a vibration but if you feel that you could potentially drop the shaft. Good Luck !
it makes a knocking sound when u turn the wheels.
check for a bad shock absorber or even a bad u-joint in drive shaft
Assuming this vehicle is front wheel drive, you probably have a bad passenger side half shaft.
It will make noise underneath the car especially when you turn the wheel
Drive shaft play/possible worn/bad ujoints /driveshaft
Yes it will.
Could be acouple of things bad stator/fan in torque converter, bad u-joint on drive shaft can u narrow down the area the tick is coming from
It most commonly is the universal joints on the drive shaft going bad and should be fixed soon I have seen more than one drive shaft fall off by not having it fixed soon enough
bad cv joints check under the car and see if there is a rubber boot on the drive shaft connection to the wheel
Typical U-Joint noise. Makes noise in reverse but not in drive. Check both front and rear U-joints of the drive shaft. If one is bad replace both. You do not want to go through R&R of the drive shaft twice.
when u dont know how to use a stickA useful answer:In most rear wheel drive vehicles 4 th gear is "direct" drive. This means the gears and bearings on the counter shaft are under no load. In all other gears the power runs through the counter shaft. This means the bad gear or bearing does not make noise. The transmission has a serious internal problem and needs to be repaired.
It won't.
