Yes! They are the same parts..... Just make sure your XJ part is from a 90 not a 91. Jeep changed the 91 and up fitment on the lower column shaft...

The steering column in a Buick Century covers the steering shaft and houses the turn signal switch. Some Century cars have a tilt column as well.

Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the steering column. It should come off fairly easy. Replace with new one. Make sure it's screwed all the way tight.
70's nova's had a tilt wheel as an option so if you could find one that would be the best trick but you can get a custom steering column for it from ididot.com.

first you must tilt the steering wheel to the up position then take the casing off of the bottom of the steering column. the ignition switch will be located right behind the actual key.
