Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
A 1991 Oldsmobile does not have a reset button.
its in the owners manual. push the red button in the fuse box
Just press the reset button at the fuse panel on the driver side. Press it for some seconds and it will clear the light.
Does not have one.
If you are referring to the reset button inside of the fuse compartment then the answer to your question is that pushing that reset button is not meant to clear the service engine soon message. That reset button is what you would press after changing the oil (after the change oil message comes on to the left of the tachometer)... If your service engine soon message is on consistently then chances are you may have a problem with some part of your emission system.
press the oil botton to bring up oil life then press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, back to 100%.
on the drivers side there is a fuse panel on the dash. there you need to press the reset button once and then your change oil light will blink. then you want to press it again and the low tire pressure light will blink hold the reset button until it beeps and then let go and then press the reset button again and the light should disappear. Hope this helps!

Check
My tire pressure light has been on forever. I finally got it to go off by holding in the reset button til it blinked and then shut off. You can try that.. if not it's just gonna stay on.
There is no button to release fuel pressure.
