Just press the reset button at the fuse panel on the driver side. Press it for some seconds and it will clear the light.
My tire pressure light has been on forever. I finally got it to go off by holding in the reset button til it blinked and then shut off. You can try that.. if not it's just gonna stay on.
Open up the drivers side door and you will see a cover pannel on the dash side. Pull the open and press the reset light until the light flashes. You must have the car ON.
turn off engine, and start again
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
how do you reset change the oil light in a 2004 alero?
get a code scanner, or borrow one from a parts store, plug it in and clear codes
Turn the ignition key on for 10 minutes and it will reset.
GM vehicles do not use inertia/reset buttons
There isn't one. Ford is mainly the only ones who have a reset switch.
I have a 2002 alero how do you reset, the coolant light is always on. Thanks, Alero owner
When your security light comes on and your car will not start, turn you key to the on position and wait 10 minutes. The light will go off and you need to turn the key to the off position, then restart your car.
Turn your ignition switch to 'ON' (don't start the car) The reset button is on the driver's side instrument panel, this is also where your fuses are located. Press the recent button once and your 'Change Oil' light should start to flash. Press the reset button again and your 'Low Tire Pressure Light should start to flash. Press and hold the reset button until you hear a few chimes and then let go.(wait tell the light shuts off then let go) Your light should then be off. To get to the fuse box, you must have the drivers door open. Pull on the plastic piece and the reset button is there.
