The transmition of a 1995 montero uses 7.5 quarts.
Manual for 2003 Montero Sport with a 3.5 liter says 10.2 quarts.
DEXRON II but DEXRON III will also work.

You can use any SAE certified automatic transmission fluid in your 1992 Mitsubishi. You should never overfill your automatic transmission fluid.
Transmission fluid is filled by pouring the fluid directly into the dipstick tube. Be careful to put fluid in the correct dipstick. The transmission dipstick is located on the passenger's side, closest to the firewall (the cab). Remove the dipstick, use a funnel and fill.
