Threshold
When an action potential reaches the end of a neuron, it triggers the release of neuotransmitters such as epinephrine (sympathetic) or achetylcholine (parasympathetic).
A slap on the back is more painful than a pat on the back because a slap triggers more intense neural impulses. The slap cause more neuron to fire, and to fire more often.

depolarization
depolarization
The synapse, or connection, between a neuron and striated muscle is typically a chemical one called the neuromuscular junction. The pre-synaptic terminus coming from the neuron releases acetylcholine (ACh) which triggers an opening of the ionic channels on the muscle side. The depolarization triggers calcium entry into the cytosol of the muscle and contraction.
Action potential is nerve impulse triggered when a neuron reaches its threshold, or trigger point for firing. Threshold trigger point for a neuron's firing about negative 50 millivolts.
cappilaries is the name of the point at which motor neuron synases motor end plate
The neuron adds up all the excitatory and inhibitory inputs and fires when they reach its threshold of excitation.
no it's an "all or nothing"

When transmitting a message, a signal travels through the neuron until the cell ends at the terminal. In order to propagate the signal to the next neuron chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) are released into the inter-neuronal space (synapse). This triggers signal initiation in the second neuron.
