What truck is stronger a GMC or a Ford?

GMC & Ford both manufacture very strong vehicles. Ford has been the # 1 selling truck in the U.S. for years. GMC & Chevrolet combined sales are more than Ford. The bottom line is they are both very strong trucks if equipped correctly.

An additional perspective:Different people are going to answer this in different ways. Beyond the existing answer, all that remains is preference and opinion. For instance, I am a Ford guy. I've owned a Ford Explorer and two Escorts for the past 8 years, and I love them. Each has been nothing but reliable and takes the abuse my kids have thrown at them. Conversely, I have owned five GM products in the past 20 years, one of them a Cadillac Fleetwood. All five blew the engine. Living in Michigan, I am familiar with several designers and engineers who have worked on GM products. The corporation's specifications are far lower than Ford's and Chrysler's and the foreign auto makers, and they design their products to intentionally fail to keep the after market moving, and to necessitate future sales to a much higher degree than the other automakers. From personal experience, I will never own another GM product.
