I think it was from 1988 through 1992 used the 700R4
the overdrive transmission in those trucks are 700R4 with lock up torque converter
Look in the glove box and you will see a decal. This is that trucks build sheet. Call the Chevrolet dealer and he can tell you the code. That would be the 700R4 transmission.
700r4 82-87, 4L60 88-92
NO.. Not even close. The 4L60E is a computer controlled transmission/ELECTRONIC transmission and the 700R4 is not.
what is the transmission capacity for a 1988 700r4 with transfer case
First of all, The 97 trucks did not have the 700r4 in them. The 1/2 tons had the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons used the 4L80E. Any year 700r4 transmission will work in the 84 as long as it is out of a truck.
You can't. No matter what you do to it. It will always be a 700R4
vans are differant then pick up trucks,And so are cars that means there are 3 differant types and lenths.
