You can use any permanent antifreeze( prestone, peak, store brands) mixed at 50/50 with water. 15 years ago it was a concern because not all antifreeze formulations were compatible with aluminum engine parts but now all are. Antifreeze companies would like you to change your antifreeze every 2 years but changing it at the 100,000 mile intervals should be fine.I hope this helps you. Mark the newer vw's run with a special coolant available from the dealer that is pink the part number is g 012 a8fa4. do not run anything else in your motor.
