Ford now recommends the 5w-20, and many people will also recommend a 5w-30, especially in warmer climates
I happen to be a big fan of the Motorcraft branded 5w-20, especially as it is a synthetic blend and is dirt-cheap, or no more expensive than many non-synthetics (dino) oils. Walmart has a 5 quart jug for under $12 and the Motorcraft filters are under $4.
