On a 2000 Ford Expedition :
The type of automatic Transmission Fluid to use should be engraved into
the dipstick or on the dipstick handle
Where is the transmission dip stick located on a 2000 Ford Expedition and where do you insert the transmission fluid at?
I was checking the 2000 Ford Expedition Owner Guide and it shows the transmission fluid requirements are indicated on the transmission dipstick or the dipstick handle . Either ( Motorcraft MERCON-V for the 4R70W ) or ( Motorcraft MERCON for the 4R100 )
There is a hole where the fluid is running out at the bottom of the car. Can this part be replaced easily?
The 1997 Ford Expedition Owner Guide shows Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ( it should show the type used on the transmission dipstick )
According to the 2000 Ford Expedition Owner Guide : ( DOT 3 brake fluid ) meeting Ford specification ( ESA-M6C25-A )
The Transmission dipstick is located on the passengers side next to the firewall it should be red or yellow color dipstick.
According to the 2000 Ford Expedition Owner Guide , the washer fluid for the liftgate is supplied by the same reservoir as the windshield
The transmission fluid for the 2000-2004 Taurus is MERCON V.
it has the wrong fluid in the transmission
In a 2000 Ford Expedition : If you have the 4.6 L , V8 ( it's the 4R70W ) If you have the 5.4 ( it's the 4R100 )
The dipstick cover is labeled Transmission Fluid. Transmission fluid on a 2000 Ford Mustang is added in the neck of the dipstick tube after the dipstick has been removed.
I was looking at the 1997 Ford Expedition Owner Guide and it shows Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid for the two models of automatic transmission ( E4OD with the 5.4 liter ) I would also check to see if the type of fluid is engraved into the automatic transmission fluid dipstick
