Measure across the rear frame rails and with that measurement go to a home/auto center and look at the receiver hitches. A receiver hitch mounts to the frame and is very strong. They are not listed for your truck but you can adapt one to fit. Keep in mind any obstacles under your vehicle (spare tire?); you may need to add spacers etc. Once a receiver hitch is in place ( four bolts) you can add a drop/raise tonque to achieve the exact height you need to tow your trailer level. Good luck.
If you are looking to rent a trailer, the rental place can help you find the right hitch, Uhaul has a form that will tell you what hitch you need for your vehicle http://store.uhaul.com/hitches.aspx?src=hitches If you are buying a trailer, the dealer should be able to match your vehicle to the right hitch.
Yes, you can go to the dealer, or save money and stop by a uhaul dealer or truck/trailer accessory store.
I've always found Uhaul to be very professional as well as good value for money. They aren't the absolute cheapest but the service they provide is well worth it.
Uhaul has no mileage restrictions for their trailer rentals, I am not sure about other companies. Uhaul is a nationwide chain so should be good for you.
Check with your local auto parts store. They have trailerwire harnesses for many vehicles that plug into existing wiring in your vehicle. No cutting and splicing involved. Uhaul sells the least expensive universal or vehicle specific trailer wiring.
yeah if you have a receiver hitch...don't use a ball attached to the bumper...look in your manual for the maximum tongue weight and total weight and make sure you don't exceed that...i have a Chevy long bed same year and motor and i have pulled a trailer about the same size
yes up to 100lb toung weight so it would have to be small I tow my jetski with a 06 cobalt... I have never had any problems... I had a hitch installed by uhaul and they have said and warranteed 1000lbs ..
If you purchase a hitch for the blazer and I'm assuming the 95 thru 2000+ probably use the same hitch(?)there are holes already predrilled in the blazer frame and the mounting bracket on the hitch will bolt up without any problems....i have a 95 and purchased mine from UHaul, it was the newer round style.....only took about 25-30 minutes to install it.Also look up in the wiring(drivers side)and you might find the trailer wires(5 wire or 7 wire)already there....all this makes it a breeze to install your own hitch!
"Yes, the price may vary, not from city to city, but depending on where you will pick up to where you will drop off your truck or trailer. Prices stay the same for buying boxes or buying a trailer hitch for the services, but, the price will not vary depending on where u choose to order their service."
Uhaul is a great service for moving all kinds of things, including large items like a vehicle. You may have a different kind of trailer (as well as a different price) than a regular moving trailer, but you're likely to find the perfect one to move your car with Uhaul.
Uhaul's pricing varies dependent upon which trailer you rent. They do have mulitple available, and your car will play a factor to which you can use. The most affordable trailer is $14.95 for 6 hours, pricing will change from there.
Blazers have a 4.3L vortec engine. Also have a rearwheel drivetrain, most have 4x4 too. hell yeah my blazer can tow a Uhaul. could probably pull 2. (think the towing limit is like 4,000-4,500 pounds.)
