The Bobcat and the Canada Lynx maintain their respective ranges in the NE US, but the Canada Lynx are probably just visiting. There may have been unverified reports of Cougars, but they are known to have been extirpated in the NE US early on in the 20th Century.
Maine Coon Cats, while domestic, may grow to 25 lbs. and 18 inches in height at the shoulder. One is sitting on me right now. I think he weighs a bit more than that. But of course, I could never say so...
No large cats are found in Pennsylvania. The cougar was extirpated in 1874. The bocbat is, however, found in that state and populations have made a big turnaround. However, it is a medium sized cat, not a large cat.
The bobcat is native to Pennsylvania.

They probably had small wild cats as pet cats, but of course domesticated them. Like how the Native Americans had wolves as pet dogs, but made them domesticated. Or something like that.
If by wild cats you mean actual wild native animals, no, they should not be exterminated. If you mean feral cats, domestic cats that have been released from captivity as pets, my feeling as a wildlife rehabilitator is yes, they should be trapped and euthanized. Feral cats cause incalculable damage to native birds and other wildlife. They carry diseases which can be spread to humans and pets. Feral cats are the single most important carrier of rabies. Not only that, it is cruel to leave these animals to fend for themselves. They need to be relieved of their misery. Our native wildlife deserves protection from these animals.
Bobcats and cougars are found in Oklahoma.
According to the IUCN there are approximately 32 native species in the Bahamas, none of which are cats. The two major types of mammals that exist there (excluding bats and amphibious creatures) are Racoons and Hutia. (For quick clarification, the Hutia is a large rodent that appears similar to a groundhog.)
