It is not the choice of verb, but the way the verb is used that makes a sentence passive. For example, here is a sentence in the active voice: I ate a Pizza. Here is the same sentence in a passive voice: A pizza was eaten. Note that the verb to eat appears in both versions.

Passive verb phrases are formed with - be + past participle.

The pizza was eaten last night. The milk is keptin the fridge. The new library is being built.

Verbs like "to be," "to get," and "to become" are commonly used to form passive constructions. Other verbs may also be used in passive sentences when paired with the past participle of the main verb.
