- The Bay of Pigs invasion - Kennedy took a long time to actually do something about civil rights. Before he sent the civil rights act to Congress, he moved very slowly and cautiously on the issue, which did not really help African Americans. - Some say that he spent too much money on the space race - He began sending advisors to Vietnam. This wasnt directly getting us into a war, but it did begin our involvement in the area
