Some historians consider Churchill's defiant and motivational speeches to the people of the United Kingdom in the House of Commons while awaiting an invasion from Germany to have more uplifting and less threatening. His Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat speech, and the We Shall Fight on the Beaches, are both classics.
