Depending on your rank in the feudal system , lifestyle varied for each class.

At the bottom we had the Peasants or "serfs"/"Villiens" . Peasant's worked crops , animals and crafts . Life was difficult , work started at 3am in the morning. Next we have knights who devoted themselves to protect the king , fiefs , lords etc. Vassals did service to the king in exchange for hommage . Lords and nobles were ranked under the king. Their was to protect the king( so i've heard)

There were numerous Islamic Empires during the Medieval Period and all of them had unique lifestyles. However, they share certain traits in common, such as:

High Levels of Commerce: Especially when compared to contemporary medieval Europe, the Islamic States engaged in lots of trade with foreign territories, especially other Islamic Empires, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the East Indies. As a result, many goods could be found in Arab markets from distant lands and Arabs, as individuals, had a better knowledge of the vastness of the world than their European contemporaries.

Urban Population: Although the majority of people in an Islamic State lived in rural areas and small towns, cities were increasingly important and held a large minority percentage of the Islamic State's population. This resulted in the construction of large universities and theological seminaries. It also resulted in the creation of a well-trained bureaucracy to manage the functioning of the Islamic State.

Patronage of the Arts and Sciences: In the early Islamic Empire Period (800-1200 CE), many Islamic leaders sponsored literary, historical, mathematical, and scientific geniuses who built upon the discoveries of the Ancient Greeks and advanced a number of fields. This growth of knowledge is often termed the Islamic Renaissance in reference to the later Italian Renaissance (even though in the Islamic case, everything was new, not reborn). Some particular fields that were advanced were philosophy, medicine, chemistry, astronomy, poetry, calligraphy, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and theology. Scholars came from different parts of the world to study with experts in these fields and disseminate the teachings. Additionally, Baghdad, Iraq, and Toledo, Spain were well-known for all of the translation work that they did bringing Ancient Greek and Roman classics to Arab readers and translating Arab works into Latin for Christian audiences in Europe. In many cases, the only versions of Ancient Greek texts still preserved exist only in the Arabic translation and the Latin retranslation.

Toleration of Differences: Islamic States permitted individuals of certain minority religions such as Judaism, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, and Hinduism, to continue practicing their religions as second-class citizens. Of course, compared to the contemporary Europe where pogroms were commonplace against minorities and there was no serious protection, this was a great leap forward. If a modern state engaged in these practices today, it would be labeled as apartheid. Life for minorities also depended on the particular ruling group or dynasty. The Umayyads in Cordoba were known for being rather tolerant, like the Ottomans would be in the 15th-17th centuries. The Almohads, however, were much more fundamentalist in their outlook and massacred many (including Muslims) who disagreed with their understanding of Islam.

Slavery: In addition to general merchantry, the slave trade in Islamic Empires was incredibly developed. Islamic States pioneered many of the quintessential parts of what would define the European Slave Trade in the 16th-19th centuries. This included long-distance travel between the slave acquisition and the market, the use of large competitive marketplaces in urban centers to auction slaves, the development of legal doctrines about what rights owners had to transfer slaves to other owners, and, contrary to Islamic teachings and modern science, that Blacks had a more beastial nature, making them better-suited to the rigors of hard work and enslavement. It should not be surprising that the Spanish and Portuguese (who had lived under Islamic States for centuries) were the first European States to re-create a complex enslavement system.

Answer 2

It depends where this person was living. Obviously, a Muslim living in India would have a different lifestyle during the Crusades than would a Muslim in Lebanon. As for the Muslims in Levant (Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Syria, and Jordan), there was much hardship and fear. Many Muslim men were in the Turkish armies led by Saladin and many gave their lives to defend the Levant. Muslim cities in the Levant were sacked and plundered by the Crusader armies (just like many Christian cities en route as well). In Jerusalem, Muslim civilians were slaughtered when the Crusaders took power. This wanton aggression made life very difficult for Muslims.
