Germany had a Dictatorship during World War Two. Hitler was inspired by neighboring country of Italy. Joseph Stalin of Italy had brainwashed his people where he could save the economy and help the citizens live because the after World War One and the Depression in Europe had corrupted the government. Hitler had learned the same thing. Hitler had used all his power to overthrow the democratic government right after World War One. He made speeches all over the country to have the people in their favor. He had promised everyone just as Stalin had that he would make sure that the people of Germany will have a place to live, something to eat, and a job to work at. As soon as Hitler had overthrown the goverment, he had many workers go to jobs in building many army toys such as tanks, machine guns, and other military guns. Hitler had wanted to once again become a superpower and take revenge on the US. While in the US, the Great Depression was going on. Many people in the US did not want to get into any other World Affairs after they had seen the World War One take place. With all those deaths, citizens did not want to see another. Although the government in the US was also corrupted. US was going to slowly regain it's government. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and when Germany had declared war on the US, US then worked on the military things. Getting out of the Depression. Germany had still been run by Hitler. During the middle of the war, Stalin had died. But Hitler had still lived, using dictatorship to rule.

At the end of WW II in 1945, Germany was occupied by the four allied powers, England, France, Russia, and the US. The Russian sector became East Germany and the British, French, and American sectors were merged to become West Germany. In 1989 the two nations were re-unified to become Germany again.
