For me, it was the fact that no special effects were used, so you could feel what was going on in the movie.
Yes the 3rd paranormal activity movie is bades on a true story; however the 1st and 2nd were not due to the fact that the activity ceased to happen to the family after they moved out of the house where Christi met Toby. Only the main outline of the story was used for the movie the events were creates out of the writers minds. Hope this helps!
Katie's last name is never given in the movie. However, the characters Katie and Micah used their real names - Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat. So it can be assumed that those were also their last names in the movie.
No, the paranormal activity ghosts are not real. The film was written and directed by Oren Peli. He got the idea for the film while spending time alone in his creaky first house. The sounds scared him, and he used to run around the house with a video camera, trying to see if anything paranormal was making the noises.
Yes but the movie was NOT real footage. The house used on the movie is also used in another movie I saw the same night I watched paranormal entity
Paranormal Activity looks so real because they used a a technique called POV filming. POV stands for Point of View. If you have a camera man in the house with the actors it would look like every other movie out there. It would look as if someone else was there with them filming this ordeal. They wanted it to seem as if this was really happening and that this couple really grabbed their camera and recorded these events with no help from a film crew.
No, Paranormal Activity isn't real. It is illegal to show real death on a movie. The director did make it in his own house though. The idea for the movie is he used to live in an apartment so he was so used to hearing noises through walls and stuff. So when he moved into his house he kept hearing little noises and other things you would hear if you just moved into a new house. Actually Steven Speilberg suggested the ending. And Micah and Katie are still alive if you have ever seen The Soup they were on that the other day making fun of Kate Gosselin. You can look up the director his first name is Oron I think and his last name starts with a p.
No. The movie had two completely different (alternate) endings. It was inspired by the director of the film, who was afraid of ghosts when he was little and had unusual things happen to him in his home (e.g. things falling off shelves).

The movie series Paranormal Activity:If you mean the movies, then Paranormal Activity is not real. They are just actors.A man got the idea to write a story about Paranormal Activity. then, someone wanted to scare the whole world (lucky guy, it worked) by turning the book into a movie. If you still don't believe me then answer these questions about the movie and tell me if they make sense. In Paranormal Activity:Would you stay in the house and not call the police if anything paranormal happens?Would you constantly stay in a haunted house for money at the risk of getting hurt or dying?Would you stay in a haunted house just because you want to make a video?I bet that you and 99% of those who watch the movies would all answer no to all those questions. But the ACTORS played people who stayed in the house and didn't call the police when paranormal events occurred, stayed in a house with ghost being haunted everyday at the risk of getting hurt or dying for money, and stayed in a haunted house just because they wanted to make a video. Paranormal Activity is fun to watch but, don't get scared at night thinking ghost or demons will get you. It's not real no matter what anyone says. So, now just sit back and enjoy it without chickening out. (Or you could pretend it is real to add a pinch of suspense, drama, and horror. The Japanese version of paranormal activity is not real either because they used actors because supposedly half of the characters got scared, died,or were possessed (as it said in Wikipedia). You can tell this is not real because if the "REAL" brother made videos of the events, why didn't they use those videos in the movie instead of fake ones. The topic of paranormal activityParanormal activity does exist. The term refers to things that cannot be explained, things that are just outside of normal activity. For instance, you can notice things like a distortion in time, where time seems longer or shorter than what registers on a clock, or things such as lights, sounds, or obstructions that you know did not exist. Sure, you can mark up some of this to natural phenomena such as glare, fatigue, optical illusions, or even mental illness, but when things that happen are varied or persistent, then it makes sense to expand one's thinking and look at other possibilities.
