The world allied leaders that united to defeat the dictators of Japan and Germany were conservative, Tory, Republican, right wing anyway. Post world war 2 was time for the growth in popularity of Socialism. The world was virtually bankrupt, so the people had to work together to get through the time of extended austerity that followed. This could be viewed as a positive change because it allowed, supported and tolerated a massive swing to the left, which was needed to make politics more balanced.

These next words will contradict what is written above. The allied leaders that defeated the dictators of Japan, Germany and Italy were not right wing Republicans. President Truman of the USA was a liberal as was the US president, Roosevelt that selected him as Vice President.

Winston Churchill, the Tory PM of the UK, can in no terms be called "right wing".

The other leader, Joseph Stalin, in post war Europe now began the expansion of the USSR which placed all the areas it occupied into a dictator run socialist economy with a socialist/communist political world view. This "empire" now became the new and major military/ political problem of the world. It must be remembered that Stalin & Hitler signed the German-Soviet Non Aggression Pact prior to Hitler's invasion of Poland. The pact allowed what is termed the Soviet occupation of the eastern half of Poland. Stalin declared war on Japan in about four days of Japan's surrender.

In political terms, the allied victory made Eastern Europe an enslaved politically socialist region. The eventual outcome in West Germany and Japan resulted in two new democracies.

To help Western Europe recover economically, the USA's Marshal Plan is credited with helping the countries involved recover from WW2. As far as I know the Marshal Plan was not a socialist vehicle at all. The USA helped Japan recover economically & eliminated Japan as any future military threat by disarming them and becoming responsible for their defense.

Once again I'll address the political consequences of WW2. The formation of a US led NATO defense treaty had to be politically viable in order for it to survive in a military mode. Thus the democratic countries of Europe now were in a political alliance with the USA. Before WW2, the US had no political or military alliance with Europe. The US as we recall voted down USA participation in the League of Nations. Post war world politics brought a new political organization the United Nations into existence. This was a major change in US world politics.

Importantly, many colonized nations held captive by the Western Europeans now had chances for freedom as the countries that had laid claim to them could not afford the money & manpower to sustain their colonial empires. I'll cite India & Pakistan as 2 countries freed due to the the WW2. In a world economic view, it's difficult to credit economic and improved political situations to socialism.

One positive consequence of politics in relation to World War II was the establishment of international organizations like the United Nations, aimed at promoting peace and cooperation among nations. Additionally, political cooperation during and after the war led to the creation of institutions like the Marshall Plan, which helped rebuild war-torn countries and foster economic recovery. The war also spurred advancements in technology and medicine, driven by government funding and collaboration.
