the weakness of the British is that King George, who'd never step a foot on America and the strengths is that they were well equipped, well trained, and well supported, while for the Americans the weakness was that they were not well trained, were ill equipped and were sick and the strengths is that they had shipped supplies from Europe and France but mostly France

*****************

Americas Weaknesses:

1. small amount of volunteers(soldiers)

2. few were trained

3. shortages in supplies(clothes, food, weapons, etc.)

American Strengths:

1. Patriotism and good will( the idea of freedom in their hearts-determination, Pro Slavery)

2. Inspirational leaders who were confident, and encouraging.

3. Military support from France, Spain etc.

4. Supplies from the local populace.

5. Experienced General(George Washington)

British Strengths

1. more soldiers-50,000 troops, an extra 30,000 hired Hessian's and more volunteers from Native Americans and slaves (allies)

2. better equipped

3. better trained soldiers

4. more supplies-better uniforms, and plenty of weapons

BRITISH WEAKNESSES

1. Distance from colonies and Britain.

2. Lack of popular support in Britain.

3. Poor generals.

Strengths

a) They were fighting in familiar territory. They took advantage of the British unfamiliarity with the territory and fought guerrilla warfare.

b) They were fighting for a cause which upped morale in the soldiers. They could fight until death because if they lost, they lost everything they had been trying to protect.

c) They had great leadership, both in the military and politically. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin would be two large examples of this.

d) They were fighting a defensive war. This gave more leeway in how to protect themselves and their country instead of straight-up attacking to win.

Weaknesses

a) They had a much lower population than Great Britain, meaning less soldiers and supporters. This was made all the worse by the fact that they had about 1/3 of their population as loyalists and another 1/4 as Sunshine Patriots (people who were patriots only when the patriots were presiding in their area and loyalists when the British were).

b) They had no presiding industry, manufacturing or commerce, mostly due to the still in-effect Navigation Acts.

c) They had no professional Navy or Army. Their Continental Army consisted of farmers and planters. Their Navy was just a bunch of fishing boats with cannons tied to the prows.

d) They had no established, powerful, national government like the British. Because of this they weren't able to pass taxes to fund the war effort, they had no war ministry or any sort of organization for the war, they couldn't draft, and they couldn't force people to be loyal to their cause, all things the British government was able to do. Some of these things may not be so good, but they would definitely help out the war effort a heck of a lot if the Continental Congress could.

The British were very strong. They had many soldiers, all who were trained to fight. The Americans were mostly volunteer, and not trained fighters. However, the Americans were fighting for their own land while the British really mostly just wanted to go home.

A strength of Britain was they had a trained Army. A weakness was they were fighting over something that was completely pointless. The patriots strength was they had people who were dedicated to making themselves free. And a weakness was they didn't have quit as many people or weapons as Britain did. Everyone deserves to be free. (Unless they murdered some one)

The strengths and weakenesses of Britain were:

Strengths: a trained/disciplined army, the world's best navy, loyalists, they were offering Africans freedom to fight for them, the Natives because they would honor the space agreement, and they had 30,000 German mercenaries called Hessions hired to help.

Weaknesses: they lacked popular support in Britain, they raised taxes, they were at a long distance from the colonies so reinforcements and supplies would take two or more months to arrive, they were in unfamiliar territory, they had a bad battle strategy because at the time to fight all the troops on either side lined up and fired, then dropped and reloaded.

The strengths and weaknesses of the Colonists were:

Strengths: they were on familiar territory, they had experience from the French and Indian War, they had Africans fighting with them both integrated and seperated with whites, they used a lot of guerilla tactics to ambush and kill a lot of British at once then hide again, and they had support from some of Britain's enemies in Europe such as France and Spain.

Weaknesses: they lacked supplies, their fighting force was unstable and ineffective because experienced soldiers would go home to farm and would be replaced with inexperienced soldiers regularly.

The main weakness of the American Army at the start of the Revolutionary War was that it did not exist. The American Army was all volunteer. The British Solders came from the jails and prisons. All American solders could read. Most British solders were illiterate. The Americans knew why they were fighting. The British feared their officers more than they feared the enemy.

The Americans lacked ammunition. They lacked enough skilled leaders. Henry Knox, the head of Washington's Artillery had run a book store. He knew about artillery from the books he had read: Bookseller one day, general in charge of the continental artillery the next. He did a good job.

Benedict Arnold was the same. Druggist one day, general the next.

The other weakness was the short enlistments. Farmers would plant their spring crops and enlist for the summer. Then they would go home to harvest their crops.

Are partnerships right for my business?

Entering into a business partnership can be an excellent decision, since the right partner can bolster your business's weaknesses and reinforce its strengths. Despite the benefits of operating in tandem with a like-minded partner, however, partnerships have legal and tax-related liabilities and limitations that may not be an issue for other business structures. This link discusses some of the legal implications of partnership: http://business-law.lawyers.com/business-formation/Partnerships-and-Joint-Ventures.html. It's a good idea to seek competent legal and financial advice before deciding to set up a partnership.
