could be many things, probably a crank sensor
Leaking injector is the most common cause.
its to the right of the fuses in the car under the dash its a little black box you will need a 10mm to take it off
Check the fuses near the drivers left foot
A loose crank pully retaining bolt will make it leak.
check the ignition coil make sure theres power going to it ,and coming out of it. check the ground conection.
Could be a problem with the Overload Relay, maybe one of the fuses need replacement!
If you are getting power to the pump and no fuel is coming out then yes.
No crank sensor on a 1990, only the pickup plate (cam sensor) in the distributor. how about a 1991?
AnswerCheck the crank pully bolt. If it has come loose you will have a leak. The crank pully bolt does not have anything to do with the crank shaft seal leak. Thebolt is independent of the seal. To replace seal remove crank shaft pully and you will have access to crank shaft seal, pull out & replace seal.
GLove box
it does not have a crank position sensor. it uses the ignition control module as a crank sensor. it is in the distributor cap
My 1990 Lumina 3.1 had the same problem and it was caused by the crank sensor.
