3 things you need to check:
behind the throlt body
The IAC (Idle air control) valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Its about $200 parts and labor.
check the soleinoid
You can not adjust the idle screw, it is sealed off at the factory. If you are having a high idle problem check for a vacuum leak or a bad idle air control valve. These will commonly cause a high idle.
If this happened all at once, check the vacuum lines. A cracked or broken line will cause high or rough idle.
It depends on the year. If you can't get the idle down, check for vacuum leaks. That seems to be a primary cause of high idle, especially for the TBI engines.
a vacuum leak can cause high idle
A vacuum leak could do that. Did it have a high idle before you changed the throttle body? Any codes?
the iac is controlled by the computer and adjusts the air flow needed by the engine, hence idle air control. if the iac is defective and does not seat properly, it will cause a high idle
A high idle could be caused by a vacuum leak, a failed engine-to-chassis ground strap or a gooped-up IACV. You should also check the PVC valve.
you most likely have a horrible fuel sensory causing your car to be bad at idling. also you may hvae reved your engine to hard and that is causing it to idle.
You can adjust the idle.
