There are several factors that can cause an engine to overheat, with a plugged radiator being one significant member of the list, but certainly not the only possibility.
1. sticking thermostat. 2. plugged radiator. 3. low coolant level 4. corroded or damaged water pump vanes.
Several possibilities can exist for low coolant level, the water pump, freeze plugs or radiator/heater hoses can leak, or, if the engine has overheated in the past, the head can warp, causing the head gasket to fail resulting in engine combustion pressures being released into the engine cooling jacket. Once that happens, the coolant will be forced out of the cooling circuit and the engine will quickly overheat. If that's the cycle that's going on, you'll never be able to keep coolant in the engine and it will quickly overheat.
That also the rubber hose that go into a metal hose may be blocking the lines because mine rotted from inside the hose and out.
already have it loose
Even though you have already replaced the thermostat, there are other issues that can cause your Nissan Maxima to overheat. Your fan may be stuck and not operating as it should.
Have you already replaced the coil?
Does that mean that you replaced the thermostat AND the sensor? If not, you really need to replace the thermostat. A sticking thermostat can cause temperature swings and potentially overheat the engine. BTW, BMW engines tend to have serious problems when they overheat. Don't let it overheat or you might be buying a new engine.
The IMPELLER on the water pump. The MIXTURE of Anti-Freeze to Water mixture.Blown head gasket.Correct TIMING.the FLOW on the Radiator that U already checked...
Since you have replaced these two parts, have you checked the water pump ? With age, the impeller on the pump or bushings become used enough to reduce the flow of coolant quite a bit. This will cause over heating due to lack of circulation. Also did you flush the system to make sure that there are no blockages ? And, check the upper and lower hose to make sure they do not collapse.
Could be a head gasket or a warped or cracked Cylinder head.
blown head gasket is the usual reason for oil in coolant or radiator. sad part is if you have already replaced intake gasket, u wasted your money as you will have to replace again when you fix head gasket
the radiator is the lowest point in the system also everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional manual available...in the reference section, you'll have to make copies of the important sections...good luck :)
has the water pump been changed. is the fan working correctly. sounds to me you are not getting enough cooler air through radiator. check the operation of the fan and that the radiator fins are not full of dirt and leaves
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Radiator plugged or restricted? Water pump not circulating coolant? System air bound? Defective radiator cap?
one Cherokee tradition is that marriages were set up when the female already has puberty.
