If the joint boots (plastic folded like an Accordion) have cracks in them, the water and dirt gets in and destroys the joint causing a knock..especially when turning. Check the transmission mount also since this will also cause a knock when putting it in reverse but won't make a noise while driving. As a sidenote, if the joint is worn out, check your warranty...this could be covered by Dodge.
