Yes it can cause a no start condition.
try a fuel relay
It lets the computer know where the crank shaft is at all times, and yes it can cause a no start.
I would start with checking the O2 sensor. It sends a signal to the computer how lean or rich to make the fuel mixture when starting.
A faulty crank sensor would cause no spark and no fuel.
Could be a main engine relay problem.
The 1994 Acura can have several problems to cause it from starting. Check for fire at the spark plugs, and check the crank and cam sensors for any issues.
starter motor slipping! replace or rebuild!
intermittent starting problems on ford taurus. sometimes starts within 3-4 revolutions, other times will crank over without starting.
Check the crank angle sensor usually about $150 to replace
I would check the starter solenoid before I investigated the starter - it's likely the cause. Have someone try starting the car hot while you measure the voltage between the starter side of the solenoid and negative - you should get battery voltage. If not, the problem is the solenoid (or somewhere before it, electrically).
if the crank sensor is bad it does not tell the computer that the crank is turning it will not fire up the engine.
