you do not have any anitfreeze in your radiator or it is low if that does not fix it then you might need a new thermostat which you can get at your local Napa Autoparts store
This would indicate that the system is low on coolant when the gauge is hot. Not enough coolant to service the heater core.
The gauge might show that a vehicle is over-heating when it is not hot because the gauge has been damaged. Often, once a vehicle has actually over-heated, the gauge will need to be replaced.
First off its a gauge not Gage and second the engine overheating would be the culprit their, genius.
xbox over heating
It won't cause over heating.....but it can go bad and send a signal that the engine is over heating when it is not.
I've had the same problem before and after a new thermostat, but have never had a problem with over heating. I have a feeling the gauge is very sensitive.
most probable cause would be over heating
over heating
A short in a wire or a failure of gauge or sender.
