Check your turn signal switch (the electrical part, not the lever). I had the same problem on a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina and that's what it turned out to be.
How do you replace brake lights
It depends on the vehicle but in general you would have one fuse for the signals and one fuse for the brake lights.
Brake lights
Fuse 7 controls the brake lights. It should be a red 10amp fuse.
Blown fuse
Brake lights and turn signals are on a separate circuit from the tail lights. Tail lights are on the same circuit with the dashboard lights. If the dashboard lights aren't working either, check the fuse. If they ARE working, check the headlight switch.
Could be the brake light switch or fuse.
i have tail lights but do not have brake lights nor do i have turn signals. i have replaced brake switch and all bulbs
It is not necessarily the fuse. It could be the switch on the brake that is not closing the circuit.
change the fuse if not replace flasher
im not familair with that make of vehicle but. the brake lights anf the signals are supposed to be separte. they both plug into a harness near the back of the vehicle. if your brake lights are working with your signals, you might have something crossed. take it to an expert you trusst and let them check it out.
It has a flasher relay for the signals only.
