What would cause the dome light to stay on while driving eventhough all doors and hatches are closed?

Make sure the dome light switch isn't turned on but other then that, it could be a faulty switch on the dash, on the lights them selves or on one of the door switches. Check those first, they are on the front of the door (by the hinges) and stick out a bit so they make contact with the door when its closed. Oil them and make sure they move freely and also loosen and tighten them a few times to make sure they are "biting" into the steel of the car body ( so they can make a good ground contact)
