Hi, It sounds like you might have a short somewhere. I have also seen where a small amount of water getting into one of the lights can cause that. When you cange the bulbs just make sure everything is tight and dry and see if it does it again. Good luck .....

Headlight power is not controlled by the ignition switch or keys. Damage to the turn signal lever could cause the 'flash to pass' circuit to stay on. Damage to the light switch could also cause the lights to stay on.

No need to remove the headlight assembly. twist & remove the light bulb from the rear of the headlight assembly. Do not touch the new bulb glass with your hands. Oils from your hands will cause bulb failure.

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
