What would cause the radio in a new 2004 Lincoln Navigator tuned to AM 750 to make the sound vacillate from muffled to clear audio?

if you are trying to put subs in your trunk it is super simple where the old factory sub used to be there will be a small amp right next to it, cut that wire and it should have two ends, then you can go to your near audio store and get a RCA wire adapter, they run around 30-40 bucks and you install that, and plug in an RCA cable and then run that cable to your am to get a signal for your amp and you should get bass this is what i did to mine.
