I paid $1600. CDN for a rebuilt transmission on a 1990 xr7.
i have no electric to pump
No. It just means the motor was rebuilt at however many miles. The rest of the truck hasn't been rebuilt, though. That includes the transmission, rear ends, etc.
AnswerThe Transmission, in my 1992 S-10 Blazer Four-wheel drive, with the 4.3 V-6, came out of a 1996 S-10 Blazer w/FWD. I had no problems with the installation, other than having to jack the body up, to get the Engine and Transmission out. it will fit. but the computers have two different style processors so after you put it in you will find that it doesnt work
82 Blazer 4x4 TransmissionI had an 85 quite a while ago and I'm thinking the transfer case bolted straight to the transmission? If the transmission is out of a 4WD I don't think there is a problem. Cannot give you an absolute guarantee. 82 Blazer 4x4 TransmissionI had an 85 quite a while ago and I'm thinking the transfer case bolted straight to the transmission? If you are driving down the road and the tachometer RPMs are intermittently bouncing, then more than likely your transmission is slipping or having shift errors. Of course, this is if you have your foot steady on the gas pedal. If you are having transmission problems, your O/D light (if equipped) on your shift column may be flashing. I had this happen on my 1999 navigator and it ended up needing the transmission rebuilt. It was rebuilt in September 2009 and cost around $1900... I got a good deal. Most transmission shops charge $2500 around here in Tennessee... If you do need your transmission rebuilt and you decide to do it, make sure you find someone trustworthy.
The transmission is a sealed system, if you're having to add fluid it means you have a leak. the 1999 CLs are notorious for transmission problems, get it to a transmission place asap. I had to have my transmission rebuilt, hopefully yours just needs a minor repair.
Tranny is shot Have it rebuilt or a new one i found rust in mine.
having a problem with my rebuilt trans, i put it in everything right but its leaking from the or around sensor on the panssager side
The torque convertor acts as an automatic clutch for the transmission. If you are replacing the transmission, I would recommend replacing the convertor too, especially if the trans fluid is burnt or contaminated. If you have a manual transmission, run, there is no torque convertor :)
I don't think so but any vehicle 20+ years old will start having problems here and there. See sources and related links below for a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer light bulb lamp part number list.
I do not remember that transmission having bands.I do not remember that transmission having bands.
If your Cherokee isn't functioning right in reverse then you may have a bad transmission. You should contact a professional about having it rebuilt.
A Chevrolet Silverado that has cruise control problems might be having a problem with the part of the engine that controls speed and fuel intake. One culprit for this problem is the Speed Control Sensor that is located in the transmission. This part can be easily changed because it is more or less a probe that fits into the rear of the transmission.
Yes all 1995-2001 Dodge Ram automatic transmissions had problems around the 70000-80000 mile mark. Usually having them rebuilt, and having a small shift kit installed helps the problem.
would an automatic transmission car jerk when shifting after having had a transmission flush
Yes there is a speedometer sensor on top of the tranny that feeds the transmission computer and the speedo gauge. See the service manual for details on where it is, I believe on the LS it is acccessible without having to drop the tranny.
Europe is falling. Its population is declining, its economy is failing, and much more. Europe will, and is going to, rebuild itself and gain back its power. The rebuilt Europe will be better than what it is now.
The towing capacity of a 1991 Chevrolet Cheyenne 2500 is 7500 pounds. The manufacturer recommends having a transmission cooler installed before towing.
Could be several reasons. Start with having the TCM (Transmission Control Module) scanned for codes. Your local auto parts store can help you with that if you buy parts from them.
It looks cool for one.
Describe the problems you are having.
It would take a whole new engine. You can fit a Corvette engine in the engine bay. It's all in having the correct motor mounts and proper transmission fitment.
About $2000 if you have a rebuilt put in. More if you have a new one put in. You can get a used one from the boneyard (salvage) for about $550 and it is about $500 labor to get it put in. If you are having problems with the manual transmission, take it to a shop to make sure it's not the clutch that has gone out. It won't be any more or less labor, though, because the transmission has to come out to replace the clutch.
Having the same problem on a 02 2wd Blazer. It pulls the cables tight but will not stay down as well.
