The engine would not fire. Diesels fire their gasoline using compression. The pistons compress the air fired into the cylinder, along with the gas, to create enough heat to ignite the gasoline. Spark plugs cannot create the necessary heat that is required to ignite diesel fuel.
Diesel engines have what are called glow plugs. These plugs heat up when the ignition is turned to the ON position, which is usually why you have to wait before turning the key to crank the engine. These glow plugs turn red hot, and in turn "glow." This helps to heat the cylinders so that the engine can compress the air a little bit easier when starting cold. Glow plugs are a form of what is called an advance start system, helping diesels start reliably in any weather condition. These systems have made the diesel engine more accessible in consumer vehicles, now that drivers are able to start their cars easier and faster than before.
Hope this helps!
No spark plugs are used in a diesel engine
Actually , there are no spark plugs in a diesel engine
A diesel engine doesn't have spark plugs or spark plug wires.
No spark plugs are used for a diesel engine
if we apply spark plug, machine also can run.but compared to previous case withput spark plug which will have low efficiency.
No, a diesel is a compression firing engine and a petrol is a spark firing engine. Diesel fuel will not burn in a petrol engine with spark plugs.
none a diesel does not have spark plugs it has glow plugs and depends on the engine and if its a 350 it has 8
There is not spark plugs in a diesel engine.
No With some exceptions in the 1950's and before. Some early diesels started on gasoline with spark plugs and then switched to diesel when the engine was warmeed up.
Today's diesel engines do not use spark plugs.Today's diesel engines do not use spark plugs.
Because a diesel ignites due to the heat caused by the compression pressures in the diesel engine.
A 'spark ignition ' engine is your regular gasoline engine as opposed to a diesel, which is a 'compression ignition' engine
