It's probably a loose suspension or brake component and the axle assembly is shifting slightly when you hit the brakes. I'd have to hear it to be sure.
Anti lock system maybe If this is a front wheel drive vehicle you may have a cracked axle,,,,,causing the popping noise when turned and under hard braking.
Check the brake system and the cv boot system. The pulling is the alignment and the popping noise is either metal or air being compressed somewhere.
a screching noise when you stop hard. what what what...................................................................................................................................................................
you brake shoes might not be seated right, or they might need to be replaced i would take it to a jiffy lube of a just brakes and get them to go over your brakes
That you need to take it to the bike shop and take a look at it.
It's hard to diagnose without hearing the noise, but if you're sure that it is not the brakes, it could be dirt/sand/rock in the brakes. If you're hearing the sound all the time (even when not applying the brakes), it could be wheel bearings.
The word "mother" typically has a soft "th" sound as in the word "this." The "th" sound is not pronounced as a hard "dh" sound in this word.
