With the Blazer running with Air on, raise the hood and feel the Accumalator (large tank on passenger side of engine with AC hose going into it and it is connected to your firewall) to see if it is cool or cold. If it is hot, it seems your system is either out of freon or your A/C compressor is gone.
If it is cold, then inside under the dash your heater/AC box has a door that is open either because the vacuum motor that moves it is bad or the door is stuck. You will have to get a manual on how to get to it and repair it.
The way it works is: When you have AC on and turn your temp knob on the dash, the vacuum motor opens a door to allow some air from your heater core to move across your AC evaporator to warm up the cold air. The more you turn the knob, the wider the door opens allowing more air to move from your heater core to your AC side of that box. The heater is always working, just the door opens to varying degrees for more or less heat. Normally with the knob set for all blue or cold, the door is completely shut and you get only cold air out the vents.
Heater core changed three years ago,I changed Thermostat Heater still blows cool air.
AC System probably needs refrigerant added.
Check under the hood for a broken or disconnected vacuum line.
Need to know if the blower is working or not or, the air coming out is cold or warm or hot or, the air (hot or cold) is only coming out the defroster.
What causes heat to only come out of the defrost and vent but not the floor of a 1995 S10 Blazer?
try the fan belt see if somthing is wrong with it
theres a vacuum switch over under the dash that alllows the air to be switched different places sounds like that is bad
No. Air bags were introduced on the 1995 S10 Chevrolets.
The blend door blends the hot air with the cold air to produce the temperature you have selected on the temp control switch.
I could be wrong but, I haven't ever seen a S10 with a cabin air filter, I see them only in the full size pickup. Anybody?
The S10 doesn't have a cabin filter.
Need to know if the blower is working or not and if the air coming out is hot, warm or cold.
