"Parts" covers a lot of territory, especially since virtually all Harley models of all years differ from the year before, if only slightly. Contrary to popular belief, the factory is constantly improving every model every year.

Sometimes those changes are very minor and sometimes they're huge, like the switch from Evo Softail to Twin Cam Softail, which included an entirely new frame, transmission case and gas tank.

In 1994 the factory changed primary gearing from 24/37 to 25/36, meaning clutches & compensators from before and after 1994 aren't interchangable.

But generally speaking, most Evo Fat Boy parts will fit most other years of Evo Fat Boys and most Twin Cam Fat Boy parts will fit most other years of Twin Cam Fat Boys.

The Evo Softail debuted in 1984 and ran through 1999.
