Saturns are good and relatively inexpensive. They have a consistent record of being quite reliable and durable.
Hyundai was just ranked first in class and customer service by JD Power and Associates, and third overall. I've never driven one, but apparently it's a lot of car and customer care for a really low price.
Any cars from overseas are generally good and reliable. Don't go for new but used or pre-owned cars instead.
