Whats wrong when you release off the clutch and the car barely moves and you have to rev it high just to start moving at all Is it your clutch and if so how difficult is it to replace on a 88 cabby?

yeah it is your clutch it is not disangaugeing it can be very difficalt it might be the clutch cable, an 8 cluthc cable might just need adjusting, in that case its just a matter of tightening or loosening which you can do with your hands. and that is not so hard at all

Sounds more like a thermostat or water pump. The fan clutch locks up when it is toast. Fan will wiggle a bit when the water pump is shot.
